The multi-denominational service is being held in Cork for the families and carers of those who have died from hospital-acquired diseases and for those currently suffering from such infections. Latest figures, released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, show there were 191 reported cases of MRSA in Irish hospitals in the first six months of this year.
