MPS Delivers Ultra-Compact 1A, Fixed-Frequency Synchronous Step-Down Solution.

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) (Nasdaq:MPWR MPWR Maximum Process Weight Rate ) announces the MP2112, a highly integrated step-down solution which requires only 5 external components for full functionality. In addition, a 1MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  operating frequency combined with a space-saving, RoHS compliant 3mm x 3mm QFN QFN Quad Flat No-Lead

package provides designers with an ultra-compact 1A synchronous step-down solution.

The MP2112 achieves up to 95% efficiency without an external Schottky diode. With a maximum duty cycle of 100%, output can be regulated at any voltage between VIN VIN Vulvar intraepithelial neoplasm, see there  to a low 0.6V. A wide 2.5V-6V input voltage range makes this device ideally suited for personal communications and networking products as well a handheld devices.

Additional features of the MP2112 include short circuit and thermal fault protection, a low shutdown current, integrated power MOSFETs, and an internal compensation network. Pricing for the MP2112 is $1.39 in 1K piece quantities. Samples and an evaluation board are available now.
