MPD (Materials Property Data) Network.

The MPD (Materials Property Data) Network has signed agreements with PDA Engineering, the Plastics Design Library and the Optiz Corporation to provide three new materials property databases. PDA and MPD will provide online access by 1993 to the PDA databases on aerospace materials and composites. Plastics Design Library and MPD will create a new database, PDLPLAS, that will cover virtually all properties of engineering plastics, in addition to polymer-matrix composites, hybrid composites, films, fillers, reinforcements and rubber. The file is scheduled for release in late 1993. Optiz, St. Petersburg, Russia, and MPD will co-produce a comprehensive database on the optical properties of materials. This database, called Optimat, is scheduled for release in the second half of 1993.
