An anticipated audience of thousands of musicians and artists, producers, record industry executives and new media and multimedia leaders will return this year to the leading event committed to artist empowerment lauded by the The New York Times as "Revolutionary" and considered by PC Magazine to be the "Woodstock of the I.T. Industry rebel-rouser Ian Clarke will deliver one of many keynotes. Clarke will make a presentation on freedom of speech and copyright. He noted, "You cannot have free speech and copyright since enforcement of copyright in the digital age means monitoring all communications -- and that isn't free speech. My company, Freenet, tries to ensure freedom of speech, and thus it must prevent enforcement of copyright."

The Expo's private VIP Party being held on Saturday night, April 21 will honor IUMA Founder Jeff Patterson -- who founded the first website for bands and performing artists (IUMA) -- and John Perry Barlow, co-founder of EFF.org for his outspoken efforts in regards to artists rights.
