MOVEit Central Integrates Automated File Transfer and OpenPGP.

MADISON, Wis. -- Files can be automatically encrypted and decrypted with commercially licensed OpenPGP capabilities from Veridis that are now built-in to the MOVEit Central automated file transfer management software by Standard Networks. These enable MOVEit Central to import, create, and export encryption keys, and to encrypt, encrypt and sign, and decrypt files that are fully compatible with all other OpenPGP software, including GNU Privacy Guard (tool, cryptography) GNU Privacy Guard - (GPG) GNU's encryption and digital signature tool intended to be a free replacement for PGP.  (GnuPGP/GPG), Veridis FileCrypt, and PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) A data encryption program from PGP Corporation, Palo Alto, CA (www.pgp.com). Published as freeware in 1991 and widely used around the world for encrypting e-mail messages and securing files, PGP is available for commercial use and as freeware for  Command-Line by PGP Corp.

MOVEit Central is a powerful enterprise-level solution that is used to automatically pull, process and push files between local and remotely located computers, including MOVEit DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone) A middle ground between an organization's trusted internal network and an untrusted, external network such as the Internet. Also called a "perimeter network," the DMZ is a subnetwork (subnet) that may sit between firewalls or off one leg of a  secure file transfer servers, using a number of popular, widely-adopted transfer methods, including FTP and secure FTP over SSL (FTPS (FTP Secure) Transferring files over the secure sockets layer (SSL) protocol. See SSL and FTP. ), FTP over SSH (SFTP (1) (SSH FTP) Transferring files using the secure SSH protocol. See SSH.

(2) (Simple FTP) An earlier non-secure FTP program. See FTP and SSH.

Standard application-level protocol used for exchanging files on the World Wide Web. HTTP runs on top of the TCP/IP protocol.
(HTTPS (1) (HyperText Transport Protocol Secure) The protocol for accessing a secure Web server. Using HTTPS in the URL instead of HTTP directs the message to a secure port number rather than the default Web port number of 80. ).

MOVEit Central transfers are managed by easy-to-create tasks; no scripting or programming is required. Multiple tasks can run simultaneously, with each operating on a scheduled, event-driven, or on-demand basis. And each task can process the files being transferred, using OpenPGP and other integrated MOVEit Central functions, as well as with sample and custom VBS scripts.

The MOVEit Central OpenPGP capabilities are available as a separately licensed option that permits unlimited file encryption/decryption and keys.
