ARCHITECTURE

Meredith Robinson has joined the Wilcox Group in Little Rock as an interior designer. Robinson's focus will be in health care and higher education design.

EDUCATION

Robert Young was appointed vice president for Business and Finance at Hendricks College in Conway.

Brian O. Hemp-hill has been named associate vice chancellor of Student Affairs and dean of the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas The University of Arkansas strives to be known as a "nationally competitive, student-centered research university serving Arkansas and the world." The school recently completed its "Campaign for the 21st Century," in which the university raised more than $1 billion for the school, used  at Fayetteville.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Melana Myrick has joined the First Arkansas Bank & Trust as the branch manager of the Wal-Mart branch in Jacksonville.

Robin L. Doyle was promoted to general manager of the Arkansas area at Loomis Fargo & Co. in Little Rock. Doyle will oversee the Little Rock, Fayetteville, Hot Springs and Texarkana facilities.

Katherine Dix has joined Metropolitan National Bank of Little Rock as vice president of professional banking/commercial loan officer. Dix has more than 20 years of banking experience and was vice president of commercial lending for Executive National Bank in Florida for two years.

Drew Lott has joined the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce as the membership sales director. Kara Ford also joined the Chamber as the public relations director.

Bob Williams has joined Delta Trust of Little Rock as the firm's senior vice president, managing director and financial consultant. Williams also serves as a member of the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and president of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a United States-based non-profit organization, and its network of chapters nationwide promote research, educate, advocate on issues relating to multiple sclerosis, and organize a wide range of programs, including support for the newly .

LEGAL

Craig S. Lair has been elected a member of the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock. Lair's practice will involve tax issues, estate planning and business planning.

The Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association in Little Rock elected officers for the 2001-2002 year. The officers are Paul E. Harris, president; Robert R. Estes, president-elect; Q. Bynum Hurst Jr., vice president and Martin E. Lilly, secretary-treasurer.

MARKETING

Patrick W. Hoffman has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing for HealthSCOPE Benefits Inc. in Little Rock.

MEDICAL

Dr. Joe H. Stallings was elected president of the Arkansas Medical Society in Little Rock at the organization's 125th annual session in Hot Springs. Stallings, a family practice physician in Jonesboro, served as vice president from 1991-1992 and has been an active member since 1974.

Dr. Carlton Chambers was elected president-elect of the Arkansas Medical Society in Little Rock. Chambers has served as secretary of the AMS AMS - Andrew Message System  since 1997 and on the society's Executive Committee.

Angela Parker has joined Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute in Little Rock as the executive director of the CARTI CARTI Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute  Foundation. Parker previously worked for United Cerebral Palsy United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), sometimes known as United Cerebral Palsy Associations, is a network of affiliated groups in the United States which works to "advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities" (from UCP's mission statement),  as the director of development.

Dr. Bonnie Taylor, a neonatal and perinatal specialist, will be the medical director of Arkansas Children's Hospital Arkansas Children's Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, is the only pediatric medical center in Arkansas and one of the largest in the United States, serving children from birth to age 21.  in Little Rock. Taylor is a professor of pediatrics at UAMS UAMS University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences  and medical director of the ACH extracorporeal oxygenation oxygenation /ox·y·gen·a·tion/ (ok?si-je-na´shun)

James Gaston has been named Enterprise EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) The electronic communication of business transactions, such as orders, confirmations and invoices, between organizations. Gaston previously worked for Arkansas Children's Hospital as manager for the Y2K See Y2K problem and Y2K compliant.

Nick Ferrara has joined Peerless Graphics in Little Rock as vice president of sales and marketing. Cheryl Davis has joined Peerless as an account executive in the company's office furniture division.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

David E. White has joined the Northern Arkansas Telephone Co. of Flippin as a staff accountant. White has been a public accountant for 10 years.
