Sigler was most recently the controller for Pollution Management Inc. and had previously served L. Cotton Thomas as senior accountant. AGRICULTURE Randall W. Goins of Fort Smith has been promoted from vice chairman to chairman of the National Chicken Council. Goins, who is vice chairman of O.K. Foods Inc. of Fort Smith, was also elected to the council's board of directors. Ronald Cameron of Mountaire Corp. in North Little Rock was elected to the executive committee. James Bell was elected director-at-large for the council. Bell is with Cobb-Vantress of Siloam Springs. ARTS Michael McCurdy has joined the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock as general manager. McCurdy previously worked with the William Morris Agency in New York. Kelly Ford, who previously was with a local real estate agency, has joined The Rep as marketing director. Ann Muse has joined the theater as educational programs coordinator. Muse has taught theater arts at the Arkansas Governor's School and Hendrix College and has a master's degree in theater from the University of Memphis. Pat Dickinson has joined The Rep as group sales director. Dickinson previously worked in real estate and retail sales. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Cari Griffith White has been appointed executive vice president and general manager of the Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce. White was previously executive director of the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as president of the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce Executives Association. FINANCIAL SERVICES William D. Little has been promoted to assistant vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis' Little Rock branch. Little has been with the bank for 31 years in check operations. FOOD John Steuri and Terry Elliott have joined the board of directors of Safe Foods Corp. of North Little Rock. Steuri is founder and chairman of Advanced Thermal Technologies Inc. of Little Rock. Elliott is chief financial officer for Safe Foods. GOVERNMENT Katherine P. Mitchell of Little Rock has been appointed chairwoman of the Arkansas Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Mitchell is dean of developmental studies at Philander Smith College. Others appointed to the advisory committee are Marge Lu Baker of West Memphis, who is retired from the advertising business; Doris Both of Hot Springs, manager of the Garland County Republican Office; D. Clarke of Little Rock has received the Nurse of the Year award from the Arkansas Nurses Association. Clarke, a registered nurse, is director of health promotions and outreach for St. Vincent Health System. MEDIA Lance Turner, former assistant editor for Arkansas Business, has been promoted to Internet editor for Arkansas Business Publishing Group. He is a journalism graduate of Arkansas State University who joined Arkansas Business in 1999. He will continue to write the "Outtakes" media column. Joma Gilbert has joined ABPG as a circulation assistant. He was previously employed by the US Postal Service and is a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. MANUFACTURING Amanda Hancock of Jonesboro has been promoted to director of project management for Signmaster LLC. Hancock was previously a project manager for the company. NONPROFIT Harrigan Wortsmith of North Little Rock will serve as chairman of the board of directors of Riverfest Inc. for 2001. Wortsmith has been with the board since 1993 and is president of Independent Air Conditioning of Little Rock. Bob Althoff of Sherwood will serve as vice chairman of the board. Althoff is president of Pinnacle Bank in Little Rock. Cindy Hedges of Little Rock will serve as president of the board of directors for Riverfest 2001 and chairman of the Riverfest Volunteer Committee. Hedges has been associated with River-fest since 1989. Wendy Saer of Little Rock will serve as vice president of the board for Riverfest 2001 and the president-elect for Riverfest 2002. Saer was chairman of Riverfest 1991. Charles Van Deventer will serve as secretary-treasurer of the board. Van Deventer is tax manager for Moore Stephens Frost PA. TECHNOLOGY John F. Corcoran of Little Rock has joined the board of directors of ThermoEnergy Corp. Corcoran is senior vice president of Norfolk Southern Corp. in Little Rock.
