The Antelope Valley
 residents will perform dances from their ancestral ANCESTRAL. What relates to or has, been done by one's ancestors; as homage ancestral, and the like.  countries and offer free samples of a variety of ethnic food at the ninth annual International Heritage Festival.

Organized by the Antelope Valley International Heritage Committee and co-sponsored by the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale, the festival will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Desert Sands Park, 39101 3rd St. E.

``Come out and enjoy a day of sunshine, entertainment and food,'' invited Peter Mok, the heritage committee chairman. ``At the same token, they can learn something about different cultures from other people. So come out and join us.''

The festival will feature entertainment and food from various ethnic groups. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with a colorful parade of people dressed in the costumes of nations where their ancestors Ancestors

Last year's festival drew nearly 800 people.

Li Lin Lin performed a Chinese folk dance folk dance, primitive, tribal, or ethnic form of the dance, sometimes the survival of some ancient ceremony or festival. The term is used also to include characteristic national dances, country dances, and figure dances in costume to folk tunes.  and Angelita Rice performed a Filipino dance Tuesday at Desert Sands Park in a preview of this year's festival. There also were samples of ethnic foods.

The festival will be open to the public with free admission. Food samples will also be free.
