WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- EMBARC, Motorola's new advanced messaging service which sends wireless E-mail and information updates to roaming personal computers, announced today its first agreement for provision of information services to its subscribers.
EMBARC, an acronym for ''Electronic Mail Broadcast To A Roaming Computer,'' is an advanced messaging service developed by Motorola's Paging and Telepoint Systems Group, headquartered in Boynton Beach, Fla.

In announcing EMBARC's first information provider agreement with USA TODAY, EMBARC Vice President and General Manager Steve Brendle said, ''We are extremely pleased to be associated with USA TODAY. USA TODAY's wide appeal among the traveling business community makes it an ideal information source to the EMBARC network. Its information will be of great value to our subscribers.''
EMBARC previewed its capabilities to members of the telecommunications technical community at Unicom '91 in Washington, D.C., in preparation for its commercial roll-out in the first quarter of 1992.
