 TO MAXIMIZE WORLDWIDE GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
 BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) recognizing the growth and industry leadership of its paging business, has announced the elevation of the paging division to Group status within its Paging and Telepoint Systems Group.
 The newly formed Paging Products Group, headquartered in Boynton Beach, is responsible for the worldwide design, manufacturing and distribution of paging products. The group is comprised of three new market-focused entities to best serve regional markets.
 "The paging industry has experienced significant growth over the past decade, and is forecasted by industry experts to continue to grow at that rate as the wireless society continues to evolve around the world," said Hector Ruiz, senior vice president and general manager of the Paging Products Group. "The formation of the Paging Products Group will enable us to focus more effectively on the growth potential of each of the major markets we serve."
 The America's Paging Products Division, under the direction of Jerry Leonard, corporate vice president and general manager, will concentrate on product and distribution requirements of North, Central, and South America, which comprise the largest of today's paging markets.
 Under the leadership of Frank Lloyd, vice president and general manager, the International Paging Division has been chartered with concentrating on developing markets with high growth potential.
 Emphasis on the Japan market, long recognized by Motorola as a segment of great growth, will continue under the direction of Scott Shamlin, vice president and general manager, Paging and Telepoint Operations, Nippon Motorola Limited. The Japan operation develops paging products unique to that market.
 Motorola's paging products and services include: the ADVISOR and BRAVO ALPHA alphanumeric display pagers; BRAVO, BRAVO PLUS, and BRAVO EXPRESS numeric display pagers; the Motorola Wrist Watch Pager; Keynote Voice Memory pager; the NewsStream Advanced Information Receiver; EMBARC Advanced Messaging Services; and paging infrastructure equipment.
 Motorola is one of the world's leading providers of electronic equipment, systems, components and services for worldwide markets. Products include two-way radios, pagers, cellular telephone systems, semiconductors, defense and aerospace electronics, automotive and industrial electronic equipment, computers, data communications and information processing and handling equipment.
