MORTON'S OF CHICAGO WHETS APPETITES IN CROWD-PLEASING TASTE TEST

 PITTSBURGH, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ - In final preparation before opening day, Morton's of Chicago, The Steakhouse, an award-winning, premium quality restaurant, rounded out a week-long series of trial runs last evening, serving complimentary dinners to over 90 guests before the night was through.
 At its new location at CNG Tower, Morton's offered full menu selections including its signature 24-ounce porterhouse steak, whole Maine lobster and other choice entrees. Dinner guests had an opportunity to choose menu selections, which allowed them to sample Morton's legendary dishes, featuring everything from appetizers to main courses and desserts, at no cost. The guest lists ranged from business and civic leaders to local celebrities, families and friends.
 Over the past week, Morton's served practice lunches and dinners to hundreds of participants in preparation for its opening today. The trial-runs are estimated to have cost the restaurant in excess of $30,000. "This commitment guarantees our clientele excellence in food and service that is unsurpassed the first time, every time," said Michael J. Archer, Morton's president. Named "Best Steakhouse in North America" by People Magazine, the restaurant is noted in the industry for its meticulous service and routinely practices to perfection before ever opening its doors.
 Morton's of Chicago is consistently rated "Best Restaurant" in cities coast to coast and is also listed in the Nation's Restaurant News prestigious Fine Dining Hall of Fame. Pittsburgh's Morton's opens for dinner starting today, from 5:30 - 11 p.m. It swings into full operation Thursday, August 12, with lunch service added from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The lounge is open daily from 11:30 a.m. until close.
 Morton's is located on the main level of CNG Tower at 625 Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. The restaurant will serve lunch Monday through Friday and dinner nightly, seven days a week. Valet parking is available. For reservations, call 412-261-7141.
