MORRISON NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AND TREASURER PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Consolidated
Freightways Inc. (NYSE: CNF) has named David F. Morrison vice president and treasurer.
The announcement was made by Gregory L. Quesnel, senior vice president and chief financial officer of the company. As vice president and treasurer, Morrison, 38, becomes responsible for the corporate treasury and strategic planning functions for the parent company and related management support for Consolidated Freightways freight transportation subsidiaries. Morrison joins the company from McKesson Corp., where he was treasurer. He joined McKesson in 1987 as assistant treasurer. From 1982 to 1987, Morrison previously worked for the Consolidated Freightways organization as director of strategic planning, and as managing director of the company's international transportation services subsidiary. Prior to that he held a variety of finance, planning and business development positions with Halls Motor Transit Co. and Tiger International. Morrison graduated from Stanford University in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in communications. He also holds a master's degree in finance from the University of Southern California. A resident of Menlo Park, Calif., Morrison is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and the National Association of Corporate Treasurers. He is married and has one child.
