MORRISON KNUDSEN WINS THREE ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACTS

 BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN) announced today that MK has been awarded three separate contracts for work on environmental cleanup projects at two Superfund sites in California and at several U.S. Army installations in Hawaii. MK's revenues are expected to exceed $100 million.
 "As the environmental market moves ahead from study to the execution phase, MK is in the forefront, providing our customers with what we do best -- safe and reliable full-service project execution," said William J. Agee, MK chairman and chief executive officer. "MK's single- point responsibility includes all aspects of environmental remediation programs, integrating scientific, engineering, procurement and construction activities."
 The new contracts, which will be performed by MK's Environmental & Government Group, include:
 -- program management, to include remedial design and engineering,
 and general construction support for the McColl site near
 Fullerton, Calif.
 -- installation and start-up on a system which will extract and
 treat contaminated groundwater at the Purity Oil Superfund site
 near Fresno, Calif.
 -- removal of 133 underground fuel storage tanks and site
 remediation for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at seven U.S.
 Army installations on the island of Oahu, and two on the island
 of Hawaii.
