MORRILL NAMED CHIEF OF DISNEYTOON ARM.

 Co. announced Wednesday that Sharon Morrill had been elevated to the position of president of DisneyToon Studios, the division that oversees Disney's lucrative line of direct-to-video films and smaller-budgeted animated theatrical releases.

The division has also had theatrical releases including ``Return to Never Land,'' ``Piglet's Big Movie'' and ``Jungle jungle [Hindustani jangal=desert, forest; from Skt. jangala=wasteland, uncultivated land], densest form of tropical forest (usually second growth or later) found throughout tropical lowland regions.  Book 2.''

Morrill was most recently executive vice president of the DisneyToon division, which was formed in January 2003. She held a series of positions prior to that during her 10 years with Walt Disney Television Animation Walt Disney Television Animation is the animated television production division of The Walt Disney Company. It was formed in 1984. Tom Ruzicka, now at Universal Animation Studios, was one of the original executives in charge of this fledgeling group. , including vice president of specials and direct-to-video, senior vice president and executive vice president.

Upcoming DisneyToon projects include ``Mulan 2,'' ``The Three Musketeers'' and ``Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas.''

Morrill reports to David Stainton, president of Walt Disney Feature Animation.
