The Oregon schools dominated the wrestling list, with Ducks Jason Harless and Luke Larwin and Beavers Adam Daniel and Curt Willener earning first-team honors.

OSU's Brian Duhrkoop and Jeremy Larson were on the second team, with three Ducks and two Beavers getting honorable mention.

OSU's Birte Steven drew first-team honors in women's swimming, while the Beavers put Mari Embertson and Ausra Pacebutaite on the second team and seven swimmers on the honorable mention list.

Chrissy Lamun of OSU earned women's gymnastics gymnastics, exercises for the balanced development of the body (see also aerobics), or the competitive sport derived from these exercises. Although the ancient Greeks (who invented the building called a gymnasium  second-team honors, and five of her teammates were honorable mention.

UO men's tennis team falls at California

BERKELEY, Calif. - The University of Oregon men's tennis team could not solve California, losing its Pac-10 Conference opener 5-2 and its 19th in a row against the Golden Bears.

Cal earned the doubles point after sweeping Oregon (8-5, 0-1) at all three positions.

Manuel Kost and Thomas Bieri lost for only the fifth time this season, losing to Cal's Balazs Veress and Patrick Briaud 8-6.

OSU opens conference baseball season with win

BERKELEY, Calif. - Jake Postlewait pitched his sixth win of the season as Oregon State beat California 15-5 on Friday in its Pac-10 Conference baseball opener.
