MOORPARK COUNCIL TO REVIEW PLANS FOR PARK.

Byline: Alicia Doyle Daily News Staff Writer

City officials will review a ``wish list'' tonight of projects planned for Arroyo Vista Community Park, where more than 30 acres is slated for construction projects including a teen center, tennis courts and a youth football field.

``Our goal is to complete the park in a manner that's going to benefit the entire city and the future,'' said Christine Adams Christine Adams may refer to any of several people:

Officials are planning to approve the recommended list during today's City Council meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at Moorpark City Hall, 799 Moorpark Ave AVE Avenue

Last year, officials received the ``wish list'' from Moorpark's Parks and Recreation Commission, which recommended priorities for completion of Arroyo Vista Community Park at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road.

The commission then began soliciting ideas from residents on what should be in the park, Adams said.

Based on public comment, the commission came up with a list of proposed park features, including a youth football field, paved pave

There are 23 proposed features for the park, expected to be built over the next 10 years, Adams said.

Because funding for each feature has not been determined, some items on the list likely will be eliminated over time, said Adams. ``With a lot of these priority items, we don't yet have a good idea what kind of funding sources we're going to have,'' Adams said. ``Some may (be) deferred by process of elimination The process of elimination is a basic logical tool to solve real world problems. Funding for park projects will come from developer fees and improvement fund fees, Adams said.

A final list will be compiled based on tonight's council decision, Adams said. Officials will later hire an architect to design the park based on which items on the list have been approved.
