MONSTERS WILL SCARE UP FUNDS AT FALL FESTIVAL.

Byline: Paul O'Donoghue Staff Writer

Scary ghouls, monsters and other Halloween special effects will greet visitors to the Monster Maze that opens tonight as part of the annual Fall Harvest Festival at Tierra Rejada Farms.

The maze, constructed from 400 donated garage doors, is twice as big as last year's, said Ron LaGuardia of Moorpark Rotary Club, which constructed the maze and will donate the proceeds to such organizations as the Boys & Girls Club.

The maze will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and from noon to 8 p.m. Sundays through Halloween. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for children.

``We're also going to have a haunted hayride,'' said LaGuardia. ``It'll probably be a little scarier than the maze. We're all getting really excited about it.''

Cost of the hayride is $4 for adults and $3 for children.

The festival at 3370 Moorpark Road, which attracted about 10,000 visitors last year, will run through Oct. 31. It features a petting zoo, arts and crafts stalls, food booths, a pumpkin patch, a Jolly Jump and horse-drawn wagon rides.

Admission to the festival is free.
