The French Army's information and communication systems will be receiving a key battlefield digitisation programme--the Mole Sic Terre is designed to augment combat effectiveness by networking all elements and increasing the operational tempo. Thales and Eads will operate as joint prime contractors in this 230 million [euro] contract award and are tasked with providing automated information exchanges, controlled networking of all information and enhanced interoperability in national, multi-national and Nato environments on a common technical platform that will connect French Army legacy and future systems.
