MOBILECOMM TO PROVIDE DOW JONES NEWS SERVICES
JACKSON, Miss., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileComm, BellSouth's paging subsidiary, and Dow Jones Business Information Services, today announced an agreement to supply two Dow Jones news services to MobileComm Nationwide Messaging Service subscribers. The two services available to customers are Dow Jones News Briefs and Dow Jones Headlines. Dow Jones News Briefs include world and business news, sports and entertainment updates. These concise stories are transmitted four times during the day -- overnight, late morning, late afternoon and evening -- to Nationwide Messaging Service subscribers. Dow Jones Headlines offer one to three short items of general interest about world and business news, sports and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, sent every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. (Central Time). "Dow Jones News Briefs and Dow Jones Headlines are a valuable service our customers will enjoy receiving wirelessly over the MobileComm network," said Steve Pazian, MobileComm president and CEO.
