MOBILE-HOME PARK CHIEF EXECUTIVE MAY FACE CHARGES.

Criminal charges are being prepared against the chief executive officer of an Agua Dulce Agua Dulce is Spanish for "sweet water". It also refers to various locations:

 mobile-home park that has been in violation of the county's health code since 1994.

Don West, a paralegal who has power of attorney over the park, was notified in a March 24 letter that a criminal complaint will be filed against him if the sewage problems at the park are not corrected by April 8.

``They want to put me in jail,'' West said Friday. ``You can't sue me, I don't even own the park. This is getting insane.''

The state has threatened to close the park for more than 40 sewage violations dating to 1994, but Monday granted a 30-day extension to Richard Salmonson, who is Mitchell Salmonson's brother and silent partner.

Officials from the state's Department of Housing and Community Development said they are waiting to see what happens at Mitchell Salmonson's April 25 hearing before making a decision on the park's fate.
