MOBILE-BASED ART EXHIBITION TO OPEN.Byline: Peggy Hager Staff Writer LANCASTER - Artist Geoffrey Levitt's fascination with mobiles began in high school when he completed his first one for a math class. Levitt, a member of Quartz Hill High School's first graduating class in 1967, has since transported his love to canvas. His artwork will be on display at the Cedar Centre Art Gallery beginning Saturday and running until March 23. A reception will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Lancaster resident was influenced in his work by his father, an animator, with whom he made iron sculptures. The abundance of art books at home - especially the work of Alexander Calder Noun 1.
