MOBIL TO REORGANIZE EUROPEAN OPERATIONS

 MOBIL TO REORGANIZE EUROPEAN OPERATIONS
FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobil Corporation (NYSE: MOB)

announced today that effective Jan. 1, 1993, its sales and various marketing and administrative activities in Europe will be reorganized to provide improved coordination among its European affiliates. The move reflects Mobil's objective of adapting its operations to meet the challenges of the developing Pan-European market and will result in substantial cost savings and enhanced profitability.
The full range of Mobil's European products and services will be reorganized into three profit activities: Refining, Fuels Marketing and Lubes Marketing. Implementation will be carried out by local managers who will coordinate their various activities with managers in London- based Mobil Europe Limited. The changeover will be effected with the assistance of Mobil's new common European integrated business information and accounting system.
This reorganization reflects Mobil's worldwide process of evaluating every part of its business to focus on areas of strength and ensure it is well-positioned for profitable growth. The reorganization will allow Mobil to respond more readily to the rapidly changing marketplace and maintain a competitive role in the industry.
