Kleinberg, founder of MKDA and the project's lead designer, Marcraft's move was an expansion from its office and showroom space at 1350 Avenue of the Americas.

MKDA had created that space just ten years earlier in a timeless classic contemporary design, and wanted to do the same with Marcraft's new showroom and office suite.

The biggest challenge in creating this space, says Kleinberg, was to create a natural space flow despite the angular layout, which includes eight tree-framing windowed Win´dowed

 setbacks.

"Our initial concern that the layout might affect our ability to create a seamless flow of space was unwarranted," says Kleinberg.

"Through careful thought and planning, we were able to integrate the setbacks into a design that not only flowed, but seemed much larger."

"We trusted that MKDA would optimize the space while also giving us a clean design that would stand the test of time," says Sheldon Brody, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "We were so pleased with the work the firm did for our last showroom and office suite, we didn't hesitate to hire them again."

MKDA used classic materials, including mahogany, steel and glass, to create its contemporary classic design of the Marcraft space.

The firm outfitted the elevator bank--where a golden Buddha greets clients--with striking white glass floor tiles inlayed with diamond-shaped steel accents; mahogany paneling; and a glass and steel company logo that directs clients toward the reception area.

The reception area is similarly dressed in white glass flooring with stainless steel stainless steel: see steel.

A custom-made reception desk guides clients to a lounge with a white Italian leather sofa and striking red chairs situated before a rich wall of mahogany. Vignettes of mannequins dot the area, including one that features a backdrop of sliding windows framing a mural of clouds.

MKDA gave the showroom gallery two specially-designed vignettes between two tall illuminated columns.

The firm's executive offices are outfitted to reflect the distinct personalities of Marcraft's chairman, Sheldon Brody, and his two sons.

Brody's office is designed in the fashion of a gentleman's club with a faux fireplace, brown leather chairs and a mahogany and maple desk.

The sons share a retro-styled office that includes a neon-green couch, shag rug and a spirits bar with a colorful light display for after-hour cocktail parties.

According to Jeffrey Kleinberg, co-president at MKDA, the classic contemporary space even piqued the interest of Donald Trump during a visit.

"Mr. Trump liked the space so much that he promptly hired us to design an office suite within Trump Tower."
