(NYSE: MRN) annouced today that MK has been selected to design and build a distillate hydrotreater and sulfur plant for United Refining Co. In addition, MK and a joint-venture partner have received a contract to provide construction-management services for the renovation of the Federal Reserve Bank's historic building in downtown Cleveland. The amount of the contracts will exceed $80 million.
MK's Cleveland-based MK Ferguson Process Division will design and build the plant which will be located at United Refining's refinery in Warren, Pa. United Refining is based in Warren and is engaged in refining and marketing of petroleum products in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

United Refining will produce low-sulfur on-road diesel fuel at the new plant, a product that is required by the federal Clean Air Act.
The Federal Reserve Bank project will include renovation of the existing 12-story building and construction of an adjoining annex. In awarding the contract, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland said the MK team was selected based on factors including MK's presence in Cleveland and the company's national reputation as a full-service engineering and construction firm.
