MK TAKES EQUITY POSITION IN ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION FIRM IN THAILAND

 BOISE, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN) said today it has taken an equity interest in MK-INTERTEC Ltd. to provide world-class engineering and construction services to the burgeoning industrial sector of Thailand. MK-INTERTEC is a Thai company partially owned by local investors.
 Bangkok-based MK-INTERTEC combines MK's engineering and construction-management expertise, systems and procedures with the many years of experience of the local employees and management of MK-INTERTEC.
 MK-INTERTEC and two other MK affiliates, McConnell-Dowell Corp. of Australia and MK-Thailand, already have projects underway in Thailand for Dow Chemical, Caltex and Monsanto joint-venture companies, as well as for National Starch and Chemical, and the Petroleum Authority of Thailand.
