 MILES ACTS TO AID HURRICANE VICTIMS
 Pittsburgh-based Miles Inc. today informed employees at its sites


throughout the U.S. that the company has provided both funds and more than $300,000 worth of product donations to assist victims of Hurricane Andrew in Southern Florida. Specifics of the company's support are as follows:
 -- Donated $15,000 from the Miles Inc. Foundation to the American
 Red Cross to support Hurricane Andrew disaster relief;
 -- Donated 5,000 rolls of Agfa film so that property damage can be
 documented for insurance companies;
 -- Through its Agricultural Division in Kansas City, donated
 $3,000 to the Florida Pest Control Association and is supplying
 45,000 units of Cutter insect repellent. Also provided a large
 number of pallets to the organization "Kansas City Cares," for
 shipments of clothing donated by people in the Kansas City area;
 -- Donated diabetes monitoring equipment to the American Red Cross;
 -- Sent 2,000 doses of its tetanus antibody booster gamma globulin,
 HyperTet, and 22,000 doses of Cipro, its oral anti-infective
 medication in support of medical relief efforts. Also donated
 4,000 cases of children and adult vitamins, Bactine antiseptic
 and Alka-Seltzer and Alka-Seltzer Plus.
