MICROFRAME, INC. ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR THE QUARTER AND SIX MONTHS ENDED SEPT. 30, 1993

EDISON, N.J., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroFrame, Inc. (OTC: MCFR) today announced results for the quarter and the six-month period ended Sept. 30, 1993. Revenue rose from $736,575 to $1,074,587 in the comparable quarterly periods ended Sept. 30, 1992 and 1993 and from $1,420,871 to $2,110,110 in the comparable six-month periods. Increased expenses resulting from new marketing and development commitments during the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1993 resulted in limiting operating profits in that quarter to $74,529 as compared with $78,979 in the comparable quarter for the prior fiscal year, although operating profits for the entire six months ended Sept. 30, 1993 rose to $243,282 versus $67,423 for the like period of the last fiscal year.
According to David Gould, President of the Company, MicroFrame, Inc. expects continued significant revenues from operations during the second half based upon the company's strong backlog position ($1,300,000 as of Sept. 30, 1993), most of which the Company expects to ship during fiscal year 1994. Also, under an extended two year OEM agreement with AT&T, the Company has been able to provide an improved product at a lower price, which the company believes could result in substantial additional volume and thus additional revenues during its fourth fiscal quarter. Furthermore, as a result of the Company's marketing alliance with MCI, the marketing resources of MCI are now contributing to sales efforts on behalf of the Company's product lines. These sales activities, if successfully concluded, could positively impact revenues for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 1994.
Mr. Gould stated, "The security needs of large corporations should continue to grow as companies recognize the potential vulnerability of the large computer networks they are putting in place to facilitate the sharing of corporate resources. Since the Company believes that its products are technologically innovative and highly competitive, the Company believes it is well positioned to share in this market."
MicroFrame, Inc. designs, assembles and markets a broad range of products whose primary purpose is to provide security for dial-in lines in both voice and data communications networks. By incorporating a variety of hardware and software options for user authentication, these products can deter unauthorized dial-in access to both devices and systems (such as computers, networks and PBXs), while allowing authorized personnel access to perform needed administration and maintenance of host devices and networks from remote locations.
