 MICROCOM UNVEILS NEW CORPORATE LOGO
 NORWOOD, Mass., June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Microcom, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNPI)


a leading provider of PC connectivity solutions, today unveiled its new corporate logo. The new Microcom logo will first appear on corporate material and on LANlord(R) packaging scheduled for shipment next month. The new logo will be applied to other products and materials throughout the year.
 "Although Microcom is a recognized leader in several vertical markets, we need to create greater awareness of the full breadth and synergies of our product mix," stated Betty Rock, Microcom director of marketing communications. "The new company logo combined with redesigned product packaging portrays the broader scope of Microcom by visually linking all of our products to a strong corporate identity."
 Microcom currently bundles software and hardware such as Carbon Copy (tm) and Relay(R) Gold communications software with its MicroPorte(tm), HDMS(tm) and QX(tm) modem families. Ultimately, Microcom's objective is to provide cohesive solutions that enable PC communication virtually anywhere, using physical and cellular connections to LANS and dial-up systems.
 In addition to the widely implemented MNP(R), Micorcom Networking Protocol(tm) (MNP 10 enhances performance and connectability and optimizes throughput in cellular links and adverse terrestrial channels), Microcom also develops, manufactures and markets a variety of cost-effective high-performance communication products, including:

 -- LANlord integrated LAN management software
 -- Carbon Copy remote control software for DOS and Windows
 -- Relay PC-to-mainframe communications software
 -- Cellular Data Link cellular voice and data communications
