MICRO HEALTHSYSTEMS HIRES A NEW PRESIDENT OF ITS MEDTAKE SUBSIDIARY AND ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL MEDTAKE AND AISCORP. FINANCIAL SYSTEMS CONTRACTS

 WEST ORANGE, N.J., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- MICRO Healthsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCHS), today announced that Frank Kacerek has been hired as the president of its MedTake(R) Corp. subsidiary, whose MedTake Automated Bedside System is exclusively distributed in the United States and Canada by Baxter Healthcare Systems.
 James A. Pesce, president of MICRO Healthsystems, Inc., also announced that Kenneth Pike has been hired as the director of MedTake Development.
 Baxter's MedTake activities during December included the signing of contracts for the sale of initial nursing stations to four hospitals, including three additional Hospital Corporation of America hospitals. The two existing Hospital Corporation of America hospital clients continued to expand their use of MedTake, purchasing five additional nursing units, and other Baxter accounts purchased six additional nursing units.
 Mr. Pesce added that during the third fiscal quarter MICRO Healthsystems' AISCorp. subsidiary signed four contracts for its financial systems. The groups contracting for AISCorp.'s Infinity System are the 280+ physician faculty practice plan at Children's National Medical Center of Washington, D.C.; New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Woburn, Mass.; and Intermountain Health Care, Inc., of Salt Lake City, Utah, representing 23 hospitals and over 380 physician providers; MedQuist, Inc. of Gibbsboro, N.J., also purchased Infinity for its billing service operation covering 800 caregivers. The total value of the above systems sales exceeded $800,000.
