A second change at MGM is the appointment of James Griffiths as president of International Television Distribution and MGM Networks, a newly created executive position in the MGM Worldwide Television Group.

Griffiths will oversee worldwide pay-TV and free television, including channel ownership and TV distribution, co-production and co-financing. In his role as head of MGM Networks, Griffiths will also oversee MGM Gold.

Griffiths comes to MGM from Creative Artists Agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) is a talent and literary agency which represents a vast array of actors, musicians, writers, directors, and athletes, as well as a variety of companies and their products. , where he had headed the Entertainment Ventures Group, assisting agency clients in creating businesses and content for entertainment outlets that included international and domestic television, cable and satellite. He helped multinational corporations develop businesses opportunities, corporate sponsorships and strategic alliances.
