The first home was built in part by a group of 100 students from five local high schools. The second was financed and almost completely built by women in the local community. Those who apply to buy a Habitat for Humanity home must show they are in need, able to manage money and are able to repay the organization by donating 500 hours toward construction of their new home, organizers said.
