Deputies searched the rented house in the 2200 block of West Avenue K-12 after three men and a woman were arrested when they left the house and were found with guns or drugs or both, authorities said.

``A lot of times, they have weapons to protect their narcotics narcotics n. 1) techinically, drugs which dull the senses. 2) a popular generic term for drugs which cannot be legally possessed, sold, or transported except for medicinal uses for which a physician or dentist's prescription is required.  stash stash Drug slang noun A place where illicit drugs are hidden ,'' sheriff's Sgt. Steve Sylvies said. ``What people do is arm themselves to protect that. At the same time, they take in guns as trade for dope.''

Sylvies said the home was in a fairly nice residential neighborhood, a mix of older and new homes.

Those arrested were Victor Reyes, 37, Rafael Flores Flores, town, Guatemala

Reyes was the first to be arrested about 11 a.m. after he drove away from the house and deputies stopped his vehicle. Inside, deputies said, they found a loaded 7.62-caliber SKS SKS Szkolny Klub Sportowy (Polish: School Sports Club)

While deputies were waiting for a search warrant for the home to be prepared and approved by a judge, they saw Flores, Izar and Wagar leave the house, either on foot or by car, and each was arrested, Sylvies said.

Deputies said Flores had a loaded 9mm handgun and about 2 ounces of methamphetamine, and both Izar and Wagar were in possession of methamphetamine.

``We had to write the warrant (request) and get it signed. While we are waiting for this to take place, there were additional people leaving the house,'' Sylvies said.

Deputies searched the house about 4:30 p.m. and found the two pounds of methamphetamine and four additional handguns, deputies said.

Reyes was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal assault weapon, Flores on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sales and possessing a loaded firearm while possessing illegal narcotics, Izar on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sales and for being a convicted felon An individual who commits a crime of a serious nature, such as Burglary or murder.
