The 43-year-old owner and his 20-year-old son were taken into custody shortly after 3 p.m. Monday at the F and M Liquor at the 900 block of East Avenue R.

They were being held at the Lancaster sheriff's station.

At the store, deputies said they found three guns that turned out to have been stolen. Other guns and a crossbow were found elsewhere in the store.

Thousands of glass pipes for smoking rock cocaine were found in paper bags in a file cabinet next to the counter.

Deputies said they also seized one gram of rock cocaine, with an approximate street value of $120, and about one ounce of marijuana marijuana or marihuana, drug obtained from the flowering tops, stems, and leaves of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa (see hemp) or C. indica; the latter species can withstand colder climates.  worth approximately $100, plus cell phones, credit cards and a large amount of cash.

Also found were thousands of dollars worth of food stamps, which investigators believe the pair illegally purchased from their customers.

``They pay cash for the food stamps,'' Sylvies said.
