SCHOOLS: Schools in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  and Ventura counties will be closed.

TRANSIT: Buses and subways in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  city buses will run on a Sunday schedule. Ventura County Dial-a-Route buses, Santa Clarita commuter buses, Metrolink trains and Antelope Valley Transit Authority Antelope Valley Transit Authority is the transit agency serving the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster and their suburbs. Antelope Valley Transit Authority is operated under contract by Veolia Transport, and is affiliated and offers connecting services with Metro and Metrolink.  buses, commuter and Dial-a-Ride buses will not run.

BANKS: Banks and financial markets will be closed.

TRASH: Los Angeles, Burbank and Glendale will pick up trash on a regular schedule.

STORES: Most malls and supermarkets will be open.
