The city of Glendale and the Citizenship and Patriotism Committee of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce will hold Memorial Day ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial at City Hall, 633 E. Broadway. U.S. Rep. James Rogan will deliver remarks. The Air Force Junior ROTC ROTC - Reserve Officer Training Corps ROTC - Record of Telephone Conversation ROTC - Relics of the Chozo (Super Metroid music mix) ROTC - Return on Total Capital Cadet of the Year, Cadet Brandon DeJong, will be honored by Rogan. The Montrose Montrose, town (1991 pop. 12,127), Angus, NE Scotland, on the North Sea at the mouth of the South Esk River. Open to water on three sides, it is a spacious resort town, with flax and jute mills, boat yards, fruit canneries, and a fishing industry. Montrose was the scene of John de Baliol's surrender of the Scottish throne to Edward I of England in 1296.-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce, along with the Montrose Park Association, will hold Memorial Day ceremonies at 8 a.m. at the Vietnam War Vietnam War, conflict in Southeast Asia, primarily fought in South Vietnam between government forces aided by the United States and guerrilla forces aided by North Vietnam. The war began soon after the Geneva Conference provisionally divided (1954) Vietnam at 17° N lat. into the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) and the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). Memorial at Honolulu and Ocean View avenues in La Crescenta. The colors will be presented by the Crescenta Valley High School Junior ROTC.
