Shane ensures the group will play the old favorites, such as ``Tom Dooley.''

``There are 17 songs we played 25,000 times,'' Shane said.

The Kingston Trio formed in 1957 by three friends - Shane, Reynolds and Dave Guard - attending college in San Francisco area.

Their first album, released in 1958, contained a mix of calypso music, folk, and show tunes. Disc jockeys picked up on one song: ``Tom Dooley.'' The song started the group on a path in which they would pick up eight gold albums and two Grammy Awards.
