MEDSTAT SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES YEAR-END RESULTS AND SETS ANNUAL MEETING DATE
 ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- MEDSTAT Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDST) today announced final results for the quarter and year ended Sept. 30, 1991. Final results were in line with its previously released estimated results.
 Revenue for the year was $17,884,000, up 39 percent from last year's $12,886,000. Operating income rose 45 percent to $2,757,000, up from $1,903,000 last year. Net income was $1,904,000 or 66 cents per share, up 34 percent compared to $1,424,000 or 52 cents in fiscal 1990.
 For the fourth quarter, revenue was $5,149,000, up 42 percent from $3,631,000. Operating income was $804,000, up 45 percent from $553,000. Net income for the quarter rose to $547,000 or 18 cents per share, up 40 percent from $392,000 or 14 cents per share.
 The company also announced that its annual meeting of shareholders has been set for Jan. 23, 1992, at 9 a.m. at the Eastern Michigan University Corporate Conference Center. Shareholders of record at the close of business Dec. 2 will be entitled to notice of and vote at the meeting.
 MEDSTAT Systems is a healthcare information company serving corporations, insurance, healthcare and consulting organizations with specialized databases, software and consulting services for controlling medical costs and measuring healthcare markets.
