MEDICAL WORLD COMM. ACQUIRES "THE HEARING REVIEW MAGAZINE".Medical World Communications (James-burg, NJ) has acquired The Hearing Review Magazine from Fladmark Publishing Co. (Duluth Duluth (dəl th`), city (1990 pop. 85,493), seat of St. Louis co., NE Minn., at the west end of Lake Superior, at the head of lake navigation and opposite Superior, Wis.; inc. 1870. , MN). No
terms of the deal were given.
Established in 1994, the acquired title is published monthly with a controlled circulation of 20,500. It serves the hearing healthcare profession including audiologists and hearing instrument specialists in government, education, clinics, hospitals and societies in the hearing health field. It is also distributed to hearing healthcare manufacturers, suppliers and related professionals. The magazine will become a part of Medical World's Allied Healthcare Group (Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. , CA). Group president Curtis Pickelle said that when the title became available, "we felt that the fit within our portfolio was extremely well suited to our growth plans. Our company has had a very aggressive acquisition approach, along with our new product launches, and this publication is one that was ideally suited to our controlled circulation model."
