MEDICAL RESOURCE COMPANIES OF AMERICA REPORTS RESULTS
DALLAS, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Resource Companies of

America, Inc. announced today that it had revenues of $8,477,000 and net earnings after taxes of $5,538,000 for the first six months of 1992. For the same period the previous year, the company reported revenues of $410,000 and a loss of $838,000.
After tax per share earnings fully diluted were $.78 compared to a loss of $.73 per share for the comparable period the previous year. The company has 7,115,000 shares outstanding and over 7,000 shareholders.
The company said that the increase in revenues and earnings came primarily from the continuation of efforts related to the sale of four nursing centers in December of last year for a series of bonds with an aggregate value of $16.4 million. A portion of the bonds were sold earlier this year for approximately $6.2 million in cash.
Revenues and earnings from the company's nursing centers and retirement facility management subsidiary, CareAmerica, Inc., which Medical Resource acquired in the last quarter of 1991 also contributed to the improved performance. In addition, Odyssey Mobility Systems, Inc., which the company acquired in late 1990 continued to increase its leadership position in providing mobility assistance products for theme parks across the nation. Odyssey now serves over 20 major parks.
Medical Resource Companies of America which recently moved into its new corporate headquarters in Addison, Texas, a North Dallas suburb, provides products and services for the aging and handicapped of America.
