Wendy M. Lancey has been promoted to senior director of critical care services at Saint Vincent Hospital. She will oversee the hospital's Critical Care and Pulmonary Care Centers.

Ms. Lancey most recently served as director of the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital, and prior to that as the critical care educator for more than 13 years. She holds a master's degree in critical care/cardiovascular nursing from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center Graduate School of Nursing.

Paul S. MacKinnon has been promoted to vice president of patient care services at Saint Vincent Hospital. He most recently served as senior nursing director of specialty services at the hospital.

Mr. MacKinnon is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience in health care. He holds a master's in nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, is a family nurse practitioner, and is presently a doctoral student working on his dissertation at UMass Medical Center, Graduate School of Nursing.

Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center recently appointed Dr. Jennifer A. Meuse to the Department of Psychiatry. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Meuse is working with the CSEMC Center for Weight Control and is involved with training new physicians.

Dr. Meuse received her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.

While interning at CSEMC, she received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004 and 2005 from Tufts University School of Medicine. She has done clinical research regarding the treatment and diagnosis of schizophrenia.
