Maybe Dallas McPherson Dallas Lyle McPherson (born July 23, 1980 in Greensboro, North Carolina) is a professional baseball player, and third baseman for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Career  is just that good.

McPherson, a prized Angels prospect, is among the California League's hottest hitters. On Thursday night, he homered for a fourth consecutive game - all against the JetHawks - in a 12-4 Rancho Cucamonga victory at the Epicenter.

A second-round pick in 2001 out of The Citadel, McPherson is ranked sixth among Angels prospects by Baseball America and is the organization's top power prospect. He has hit six of his team-leading 14 homers against the JetHawks.

McPherson hit a solo homer off JetHawks reliever Reuben Kerbs (0-1) in a two-run fourth inning that broke a 2-2 tie. With McPherson at the plate, Javy Rodriguez stole home off a stunned Kerbs, who airmailed the ball over catcher Mike DiRosa's head.

Kyle Nichols hit his league-leading 20th homer for Lancaster, a two-run shot in the third that erased a 4-2 deficit.
