Named for the triangle formed by Duke Univ. , N.C., is being awarded a $24,900,000 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity delivery order contract for the development, integration, and testing of common sensor module sensor platforms and architecture. Work will be performed in Research Triangle Park (88 percent); Honolulu (10 percent); and Washington, D.C. (two percent), and is to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a Broad Agency Announcement with 23 proposals solicited and 11 offers received. NAVAIR was established in 1966 as the successor to the Navy's Bureau of Naval Weapons (BuWeps). , Naval Air Warfare Center The Naval Air Warfare Center was a former U.S. Navy military installation located in Warminster, Pennsylvania and Ivyland, Pennsylvania. The U.S. Navy purchased the grounds to establish this facility from the Brewster Aeronautical Corporation following its bankruptcy in the Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-02-D-3204). |
