MCLOUTH STEEL ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT

 TRENTON, Mich., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- McLouth Steel announces the appointment of Thomas W. Hepburn as general superintendent of Rolling Operations/Finishing effective Nov. 1.
 Hepburn will replace Robert W. Theis who retires in January 1994. Theis will assist Hepburn in his responsibilities during this transitory period until his retirement.
 Prior to coming to McLouth, Hepburn progressed in a series of managerial positions in the Rolling/Finishing Operations at Inland Steel. He brings a solid background in the rolling and finishing areas as well as skills in development and leading employee involvement efforts. It is anticipated that Hepburn will contribute significantly to the company in its efforts to attain consistent operating levels and practices.
 Hepburn is a graduate of Purdue University. He and his wife, Charlotte, have two daughters and the family is looking forward to moving to the Detroit Downriver area.
