MCKEON BROTHER DIES IN UTAH HOME JOHN DAVID, SIBLING OF 'BUCK,' WAS 58.

SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  - John David McKeon, 58, the younger brother of Santa Clarita Rep. Howard ``Buck'' McKeon, died Saturday morning at his home in St. George, Utah St. George is a city located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Utah, and the county seat of Washington County, Utah.GR6 It is the principal city of and is included in the St. George, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. , after a long illness.

``He was doing well and just went on a fishing trip with his brothers,'' said daughter Erin Wilson. ``We thought he was back in good health. This was a complete surprise.''

``He was always so enthusiastic,'' the congressman said. ``He used to laugh all the time. When we were kids on vacation, we'd stop for gas, and he'd go off and make some new friends. In business, he wanted to reach for the stars. It was his idea to build new stores, and he was a great motivator for our employees.

``Even after he got sick, he was always working on some project. But he was always available to give people counsel or advice without being preachy preach·y

John McKeon was born April 25, 1945, in Los Angeles and attended Tujunga High School before completing his studies at Brigham Young University Brigham Young University, at Provo, Utah; Latter-Day Saints; coeducational; opened as an academy in 1875 and became a university in 1903. It is noted for its law and business schools. . He was the chairman of the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs at BYU BYU Brigham Young University

 and ran a furniture and appliance store with his brother before joining his parents and the rest of his brothers to open Howard and Phil's Western Wear in Canyon Country.

He served two terms as a bishop of the Santa Clarita stake of the Church of Jesus Christ Church of Jesus Christ may refer to:

McKeon is survived by his wife, Janet; his sons, J. Scott, James and Jason McKeon; his daughters, Erin Wilson, Shawna Doughman, Heather Ludlow, Nonnie King and Deanna Brady; 14 grandchildren; and brothers Buck, Joe, Tim and Monte McKeon.
