Cushman & Wake-field announced the following recent lease agreements for the New York metropolitan area New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island is the most populous metropolitan area in the United States and the third most populous in the world, after Tokyo and Mexico City. :

* MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. It provides commands and functions to open, play and close the device.

 WorldCom Network Services, Inc. signed a lease for 48,219 SF at a telecom/switch facility at 3020 Thomson Ave. in Long Island City, N.Y. Jeff Heller, Tomas M. Murray, August A. DiRenzo, and Donald A. DiRenzo Sr. represented the tenant in the transaction.

* Vanguard Media, Inc. signed a lease for 45,963 SF of office space at 315 Park Ave. South in New York City New York City: see New York, city.
