MCI SETS UP SECOND FREE PHONE CENTER IN FLORIDA CITY
MIAMI, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Residents of Florida City, one of

South Florida's most ravaged hurricane sites, are now able to make free long distance phone calls at MCI's mobile phone center located at 826 Krome Avenue, adjacent to the Florida City tent city and in front of the Pioneer Museum.
This center is the second phone bank set-up by the company in an effort to assist the victims of Hurricane Andrew. MCI's other mobile phone center has been located in front of Homestead City Hall since Aug. 31 and has provided more than 50,000 free long distance calls to local residents.
Both phone centers are air-conditioned, equipped with 24 phones, and provide service between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
