MCC BEHAVIORAL CARE NAMES JULIAN COHEN PRESIDENT

 MINNEAPOLIS, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- MCC Behavioral Care, Inc., a nationwide provider and manager of mental health and substance abuse programs, today announced that Julian Cohen has been named president of the company. Cohen has served as interim president since October 1992.
 "We are pleased to announce Julian's promotion. As acting president, Julian participated fully in the development of MCC's strategy and has worked effectively with MCC management to build the programs that are making 1993 a successful year," said Larry English, president, CIGNA Employee Benefits Division.
 Cohen joined MCC in November 1987 as president of MCC Minnesota and subsequently was promoted to vice president of Operations, Western Division.
 Prior to joining MCC, Cohen served as assistant vice president and administrator of the Institute of Psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He also worked for five years at Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., most recently as assistant executive director.
 Cohen received a bachelor of arts degree in social work in 1976 and a master of public health degree in health administration in 1980, both from the University of Pittsburgh. MCC Behavioral Care, founded in 1974, is a provider of managed mental health and substance abuse programs. Based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn., MCC serves more than 5.5 million members in more than 100 markets nationwide. MCC is a CIGNA Employee Benefits Company.
