MCA INC. CORPORATE INFORMATION SERVICES PROMOTES FIVE KEY EMPLOYEES

 UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Five key employees in MCA Inc.'s department of Corporate Information Services have been promoted, it was today announced by George A. Brenner, director of Corporate Information Services and vice president of Universal City Studios.
 John Woolery has been promoted to director of Universal Studios Hollywood Information Services. He was formerly associate director of Financial Systems for the Music Entertainment Group Information Services Department within Corporate Information Services. In his new position, Woolery will develop and implement the strategic Corporate Information Services plan for Universal Studios Hollywood; oversee the implementation of all USH information technology projects; control USH hardware and software requests; and coordinate information technology priorities with those of the MCA Corporate Information Services Group. Woolery will report to Brenner and Steve Hansen, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Universal Studios Hollywood.
 Lynn Jacobs has been promoted to associate director of the Filmed Entertainment and Studio Information Services. She was formerly associate director of the Business Systems Consulting Department. In her new position, Jacobs will oversee key operations and strategic areas within the Filmed Entertainment and Studio Groups. Jacobs reports to Rob Geier, director of Filmed Entertainment and Studio Information Services.
 Ron Landers, formerly Data Base Administrator, has been promoted to associate director of Filmed Entertainment and Studio Information Services. Landers, who also reports to Geier, will take a leadership role on key technical issues and will be the Filmed Entertainment and Studio Information Services' liaison to Information Processing Services (data center and network).
 Mike Nessin has been promoted to manager of Data Base Administration of the Information Processing Services Department of Corporate Information Services. Nessin, who will assume Landers' former responsibilities in support of all MCA divisions' data bases, reports to Richard Yu, data administrator for Corporate Information Services.
 Chris McQuown has been promoted to associate director of Music Entertainment Group's Information Services Department, reporting to Bob Barone, Director. In her new position, McQuown will expand her responsibilities in implementing personal computing, local area networking and related technologies.
