MBDA has launched the full-scale development and production of the Meteor Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (Bvraam) with the signature by the British Defence Procurement Agency on behalf of the six partner nations (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Britain). The 1.2 billion [pounds sterling] fixed price contract sees the Meteor riding under the Eurofighter Typhoon, the Rafale and Gripen aircraft for protection against all air-to-air threats.
