MAZDA PRICES ALL-NEW LARGER, MORE POWERFUL 1994 B-SERIES PICKUP TRUCKS

IRVINE, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Mazda Motor of America today announced that its all-new, larger and more powerful 1994 B-Series compact pickup trucks, which go on sale this summer, will carry suggested retail base prices starting at $8,780.
Initially, 11 models will be offered, including a choice of three engines, three trim levels, two cab configurations, two bed lengths and either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The new trucks bolster Mazda's position in the hotly competitive compact pickup truck market.
Production of the 1994 B-Series trucks began earlier this month in Edison, N.J. Mazda estimates that the U.S.-built trucks will decrease annual exports from Japan by $400 million to $500 million, improving the balance of trade between the two nations.
Mazda trucks have consistently ranked at or near the top of the J.D. Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction Index and Initial Quality Survey. Since 1971, Mazda has sold more than 1 million pickup trucks in the United States.
